John Coltrane Jazz Festival 2024: Gregory Porter, Brian Culbertson Lead a Star-Studded Lineup in High Point

The John Coltrane International Jazz and Blues Festival in High Point, NC, is returning this year from August 31 to September 1, 2024. The festival will feature an exciting lineup of artists, paying tribute to the legendary jazz saxophonist John Coltrane, a native of the area.

This year’s lineup includes a diverse mix of jazz, blues, and fusion artists. Headliners include the soulful jazz vocalist Gregory Porter, the versatile keyboardist and composer Brian Culbertson, and the dynamic blues guitarist Samantha Fish. The festival will also feature the globally renowned acid jazz band Incognito, along with the Bill Charlap Trio, joined by special guests Dee Dee Bridgewater and Nicholas Payton. Other notable performers include the Bilal, Lao Tizer Band with Karen Briggs, Elliot Yamin, Chieli Minucci (of Special EFX), and many more.

Gregory Porter is a Grammy Award-winning jazz vocalist known for his deep, soulful voice and emotionally charged performances. His blend of jazz, soul, and gospel influences has earned him critical acclaim and a devoted global following. Porter’s breakthrough album, Liquid Spirit, won the Grammy for Best Jazz Vocal Album in 2014, solidifying his place as one of the leading voices in contemporary jazz.
