This week, Travis Scott has something big planned for his fans.

The rapper recently announced that he would release his next project, titled Utopia, on July 28. The Houston-born artist made the announcement while performing at Rolling aloud in Miami on July 22, and also mentioned that an accompanying film would release the day before.

Travis was also set to livestream Utopia from the Pyramids of Giza in Egypt, but controversy soon arose as the Egyptian musician’s syndicate reportedly revoked the permit for the show. Live Nation officially put out a statement on Wednesday saying that the show was now canceled.

While it’s unknown what type of sound we should expect from the album, the first single, “K-POP” released on July 21 with features from Bad Bunny and The Weekend. The single sports a familiar Afro-Latin sound that has been prevalent throughout the past few years.

Utopia releases this Friday, and Stereofade is looking forward to hearing the album.
