Halle Bailey To Release First Solo Single, ‘Angel’ on 8/4

Halle Bailey, the talented singer and actress who makes up one half of the group Chloe x Halle, is releasing her first solo song this Friday.

Halle posted a teaser video on her social media accounts, which shows the singer in different clips from her childhood, and displays the quote “Angels make a way somehow”. The teaser briefly plays a soft piano tune, possibly indicating the direction of the upcoming single.

The singer is having a great year so far, also starring in the blockbuster Disney movie The Little Mermaid, which Halle recording several songs for, including “Part of Your World“. The film has grossed 564.2 million dollars worldwide, and has pleasantly impressed many fans of Halle and the film franchise itself. Halle’s sister, Chloe Bailey, has also had a bit of a solo career recently. Her solo debut, the 2023 album In Pieces, was well-received by audiences and showed that Chloe could make a name for herself, just as her younger sister Halle will do on her upcoming song and project. Fans are also looking forward to when the sisters will reunite as a duo.

Chloe x Halle gained prominence through their YouTube covers and were discovered by Beyoncé, who later signed them to her management company, Parkwood Entertainment, in 2013. The duo’s music showcases their exceptional vocal talents and harmonies, and their sound blends elements of R&B, pop, and soul.

Chloe x Halle released their debut EP, Sugar Symphony, in 2016, and it was well-received by both fans and critics. In 2018, they dropped their debut studio album, The Kids Are Alright, which earned them critical acclaim and two Grammy nominations.

One of their biggest career highlights was performing “America the Beautiful” at Super Bowl LIII in 2019. The duo has also had significant success with their second studio album, Ungodly Hour, released in 2020, which received praise for its innovative sound and maturity.
