From Nickelodeon to sold out arenas

Big Time Rush started out as a made-for-TV boy band, but they quickly became the real deal. Launched in 2009 through their hit Nickelodeon show, the band (made up of Kendall, James, Carlos, and Logan) played four hockey players who get a shot at pop stardom and then actually went on to become pop stars in real life. Wild, right?

Their early singles like “Boyfriend,” “City Is Ours,” and “Worldwide” lit up the charts and teen bedrooms everywhere. Between 2010 and 2013, they released three albums, toured nonstop, and built a fanbase that never really left even when the group took a break in 2014.

The comeback

In 2020, the guys reunited virtually at first and reminded everyone why they loved BTR in the first place. That acoustic version of “Worldwide” still hits. Fast forward to now and they’re fully back—touring, releasing new music, and still rocking the coordinated outfits and choreography that made them famous.

In 2023, they dropped Another Life, their first album in ten years. It has that classic BTR sound with a grown-up twist. Songs like “Can’t Get Enough” and “Waves” show the band evolving while still keeping things fun and catchy.

Live at the Xfinity Center on July 25

Big Time Rush rolled into Mansfield, Massachusetts on July 25 as part of their In Real Life Worldwide Tour, and it was everything fans hoped for. The setlist included every single song from their TV show, plus a few newer tracks. Fans sang every word, held up homemade signs, and danced like it was 2010 all over again.

They even brought out familiar faces from the show—Katelyn Tarver (Jo) and Stephen Kramer Glickman (Gustavo)—for a bit of on-stage nostalgia that had the crowd going crazy.

Whether you were a day-one Rusher or just rediscovering them post-hiatus, this show was a full-circle moment. Joyful, energetic, and packed with heart.
